The Montanile family came a long way from Italy, by way of New York, to bring our desert towns some awesomely authentic pizza. Thank goodness YabYum HQ is in the delivery area of one of Venezia’s four Valley locations.

Where to begin? The delicious, made-fresh-daily crust? Real ingredients like 100% Mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce you’ll want to take home in a jar (which you can do)? Venezia’s crafts quality, New York pizza -- every pizza, every time.
Their delivery motto might be “When your high, we’ll fly” but there are many other reasons for giving Cheba Hut a ring and asking them to bring you a sandwich. The crushing weight of deadline, a computer that will not cooperate thereby threatening your very livelihood, or/and remembering you ate all the cereal yesterday and have been left without any sustenance... a plethora of reasons.

Whatever your reason, Cheba Hut delivers toasted deliciousness to your door (depending on where you live). An array of “Old School” deli classics and original sandwich creations populate the menu. They go well beyond the one item option for vegetarians with their “Garden Veggie” menu. Perfect for cranky staffers and mellow munchers alike.

If ordering by phone, do so in private. Just a suggestion. A well placed order can sound like a drug bust waiting to happen, “a nug of the Chronic, a blunt of Silver Haze…”

And we have special order-ers. You know the type. They want something added, something taken off, something on the side, something something. Oftentimes, these people are vegetarians (or, God forbid, vegans) or they have food sensitivities. We have both on staff.

The House Special Chicken warrants the name. All the traditional fare can be found here too like Mongolian beef or sweet’n sour pork if you’re unsure of what to order. Get the combo and enjoy friend rice, an egg roll, and two crab puffs with your dish. For the tofu aficionado in the group, try the honey or orange tofu. Ask to add veggies to your tofu selection. Trust me. This is an insider’s tip.

Sure, everyone knows a great spot for pizza and most folks might even have that gem of a Chinese spot for take-out, but how many people know of a delicious Greek restaurant that delivers right to your door? We do.

Olivio’s Grill offers an array of Greek dishes in addition to some Americanized grill faves like the Achilles Burger or one of their assorted cheesesteaks. There is a split among staffers between the Gyro Pita and the Falafel Pita for our in-house favorite.
I don’t know what I like best about Olivio’s. It might be there Greek fries: thin, crispy, and covered in feta cheese. Or, it might be there awesomely urban hours. Open til 3:30 in the morning Monday through Saturday (they close at 11 pm on Sundays), where else can you get Lamb Souvlaki or Domaldes brought to your home after midnight in this town? You can go to a show, stay until the bar closes, drive your drunk friends safely to their domiciles, call Olivio’s on the way home, and have a Chicken Ceasar Pita  with a side of Roasted Bell Pepper Hummus at your door by the time you’re in your pj’s ready to watch Netflix. Genius.

Check out their “OPA Hour Specials” for extra savings on an already cost-effective eatery.

Whether you prefer your pizza made to exacting specifications or you would rather peruse the range of creative and traditional offerings found on the specialty pizza menu, Venezia’s is certain to please.

If for some unfortunate reason pizza is not your thing, Venezia’s can still be your spot with their award-winning hero’s, wings, or calzones.

Try Venezia’s today if you haven’t done so already. Our staff favorite is the Pesto Pizza with fresh tomatoes and fresh garlic. Start sampling the options to find your favorite today!

Chinese take-out and journalism… the two go hand-in-hand. From our very first publication, we have counted on Chopstick Express for a monthly infusion of Chinese food during the rush and panic of our final days before we put out an issue.

Now that’s three years with at least one order placed per month (sometimes you can’t stop thinking about Wor Wonton Soup on a Tuesday), and we can say in all honesty we have never had a problem. Think about that. No screwed up orders, no cold deliveries. Not once. I know not every testimonial to Chopstick Express contains such praise, but I can tell you that this is our experience to date and it is rather extensive.
