2009 Best Reason to Dance:
The Sugar Thieves inspire folks to get shakin, so much so that the Sail Inn provides swing dance lessons before their regularly scheduled Wednesday night spectacularama. Well-seasoned swing dancers mingle with happily bouncing hippies and simple folks a few drinks into their evening alternately swaying and jumping around. I personally the bluesy, soulful sound Mikel and Meridith unleash on their crowds transforming them into divine horsemen possessed of strange mischievous intentions. All in all, the Sugar Thieves provide a boot-stomping, hip-swaying, jump-jiving good time and we love them for it.
