The only real moment of silence, seconds before a pick slides across the strings of an electric guitar and vocals break through the fog and flashing colored spotlights, is filled with anticipation and excitement.  As soon as it starts, it ends, and all attention and focus is turned to the stage as the crowd enjoys what it came for, rock and roll.  Since a chance encounter by its founders in 2006 on a musical cruise gone wrong, Violet Wild has been delivering authentic rock shows in this fashion to the Valley and beyond.

Unhappy with their own individual bands at the time, Joshua Kennedy and Bobby Scott united to form Violet Wild, their own vision of rock and roll.  Their first album was released and quickly shelved, only to be revamped, improved and later re-released.  They were signed to Big Panda Music but are currently listed as independent and have released another album since then.  Violet Wild can now be found on stage headlining their own shows locally or more frequently opening for known acts such as Days of the New and Our Lady Peace.  With Bobby Scott on vocals, Joshua Kennedy on guitar, Christopher Serafini on bass and Richard Polmans on drums, Violet Wild delivers an authentic rock and roll show. Comprised of vicious guitar playing and cohesive lyrics, to onstage antics and general rocking out that provide an exciting and new experience laced with familiarity and recognition.  Reminiscent of days comprised of former Tempe rockers mixed with big hair and scarves on microphone stands.

Violet Wild has a chameleon like ability to adapt to any type of venue and scene, creating a comfortable and nostalgic feeling through rhythmic singing and playing and intimate stage to crowd interaction.  It is always worth it to see this versatile band live and their music is available on the internet, as well as at live appearances.
