2009 Reader's Choice Award: We're big fans of Shelby James and apparently we're not alone. Since our first coverage of Shelby was published last year, it has consistently received more readers than any other review published in 2009. Stephen Steinbrink, Tramps and Thieves, and a few others were in contention for this award but Shelby outdistanced them all. His folksy sensibility and easy-going candor has an almost universal appeal. It's no wonder so many listeners are eager to follow his development.
