Snookie made it famous. Scottsdale brought it home. Yes, folks, I’m talking about vajazzling.

Now if you’re anything like I was a couple of weeks ago, vajazzling is striking no chord of recognition. That’s the reason I went into the V-Spot Salon in Downtown Scottsdale. I would have never seen their posh n’ pink interior had it not been for their salon menu outside offering “vajazzling” in addition to a customary rendering of other services like the mani-pedi options and waxing for just about anywhere.

Immediately, the owner Lulu offered me champagne but I was a journalist on a mission and I had to discover what vajazzling is.

This new form of body art has rapidly been gaining popularity. Vajazzling is very similar to bedazzling except in bedazzling you apply jewels and glitter to your clothes… in vajazzling, you decorate your va-jay-jay region. Other options are available, of course, and Lulu showed me a number of photos of vajazzled clients who adorned their arms, faces, and even tattoos with Swarovski crystals.

A great option for all you club kids interested in the latest in bling, vajazzling is not limited to the female population alone. The V-Spot does have gentlemen among their clients as well.
