Heidi Golden is a collector and designer. When a fateful meeting brought nature photographer Michael Madsen across her path the two formed an artistic partnership known as Hearts Rock, the fruits of which can be seen at different gallery shows in the month of February. Golden began collecting heart-shaped rocks she came across by accident or by design. Under Madsen's insightful lens, Heidi is able share her sacred collection with the world.
The resulting pictures are both serene and inspiring. The heart-shaped stones amid these otherwise “untouched” settings add a very human presence. However, the naturalness of stone carries the connotation that humans are very much of the earth and love exists in all things.
