The Chocolate Iguana provides an adorable refuge and plenty of sweet things for those taking on 4th Street. I found myself there one evening waiting on a show at nearby Plush Lounge in desperate need of caffeine. Upon entering I discovered a cute boutique that served to distract me from my original purpose. The smell of coffee brought me back to my intended mission.

The inner sanctum is part coffee shop, part candy shop, part bakery, part ice cream parlor all in a charming atmosphere. Unique drink specials lure customers away from their standard orders. I was led astray by a scrumptious combination of espresso, coconut, and chocolate.
Start your day with coffee and muffins or scones. Come by after dinner for the perfect dessert. Or gain that late night second wind, just as I did, in the sweetest way I found while in Tucson.
