“We are going to make this shit up.” Says Michelle Edwards, on from the dynamic duo of Dangerville. As they start their performance, the duo asks for a topic for the night. With an audience response of “Boston terriers” they immediately had a full successful sketch about pet and neighbor hate, turned into stranger love. Their set filled the room with laughter as wit and on-the-spot creativity poured from the stage.
Several miniature stories emerge from each show this intelligent pair puts forth. Stories of love, loss, dirty deeds, and odd jobs always finish in a comedic twist and a smile on every audience members face.
Dangerville is brought to you by Michelle Edwards and José Gonzalez. These two initially created the project as a band back in 2005 playing cover songs in local hot spots such as the Trunk Space and the late Paper Heart.
As their performance chemistry grew, the pair gave new form to their project. Dangerville became an improvised comedy act mixed well with songs sung by both and accompanied by Michelle on piano.
The comedy-music-combo grants Dangerville the freedom to play a variety of venues but the best spot to check them out is their home turf where the group got their start back in 2006…Space 55 on Pierce and 7th St in downtown Phoenix.
