Long Wong's is a weighted name in Arizona music history. The original Tempe bar resided directly on the corner of 7th St and Mill Ave during the boom time of Tempe Rock. After their closure in 2003, loyal patrons and musicians alike mourned the loss.

A new Tempe Long Wong's has arisen in a different locale... the Firehouse. While this Long Wong's is much different from its predecessor the new crew is holding to some valued traditions.

Happy Hour shows are often neglected time slot for many bars and other venues. Why is that? Most of us have to work or go to school. Late nights and early mornings do not mix well especially when a few drinks are added.

After a rough day, meeting some friends for snacks and drinks while checking out live and local talents sounds like the needed pick-me-up. And when you take into account that Happy Hour pricing is usually much less costly than adventures later in the evening, how can you miss out?

Each night of the week brings a new performer to the stage. Whether you might need some help making over that midweek hump or a thirsty Thursday watering hole Wong's has not only the perfect spot but the perfect musical pairing as well.
Page the Village Idiot gets folks through the week with his Wednesday night "Hump Day" Happy Hour at Long Wong's earning him the award for "Best Happy Hour." Read more about Page here.
Jim Beach performs his sometimes lonesome, sometimes gritty, sometimes fiery, always authentic songs every Thursday during Happy Hour. Read more about Jim Beach here.
